Space sharing office

Space sharing officeSpace sharing can happen in different ways depending on the home design. It occurs when a room has two or more distinct purpose such as an office doubling as a guest room. Or two separate areas can borrow visual space from each other such as an offices loft sharing the open space around it with lower rooms.

The pretty pastel colored office guest room on this page is a good example of a room doing double duty. Careful to home improvement, storage planning and a delicate palette of decorative colors give it a tidy, unified look.

The other three offices had shown here share space by visually borrowing form other rooms. Tinted glass panels modify the shared zone in the office kitchen area on this page, keeping the two rooms open but distinct. On the facing pages, loft offices share view with the room below them yet their heights separates them from the lower part of the house. The gallery office on the upper half of the facing page does it all. It’s a multipurpose room as well as a loft.
